Level Two

The ISA Level Two Surf Coach award focuses on developmental coaching. It provides the coach with tools and knowledge to take surfers from “learn to surf ” towards a more advanced level, including a greater understanding of competitive surfing. Level Two accreditation opens up greater opportunities to become involved in coaching at a Higher Performance level.

Is this course for me?

Course Duration

The Level Two Surf Coach Course is run over two or three days (depending on schedule). It involves a wide range of practical and theory modules, and an online exam.

Post Course Practice

After the course, the candidate must complete 40 hours of face to face coaching practice at novice or developing surfer level and maintain practical coaching diary.

Lifesaving / First Aid Award

The candidate must hold a recognised Lifesaving / ocean rescue award as outlined for Level One accreditation.  See our Safety Courses for futher infomation.

Prior Awards

An ISA Level One Surf Coach award or equivalent.

The course fee includes ISA memberhip for the first year.  It is recommended that an ISA Level Two Surf Coach is a member of their National Governing Body (NGB) or the ISA.
